Choice and flexibility

You’ll enjoy a choice of modules that build core business management knowledge and deepen your understanding of international business.

You will also have the option to transfer into a specialised degree after completing the first year of MH101.


Subject Structure

First year

  • 15 or 30 credits of Business (International)
  • Choose 2 or 3 other subjects, which may include Critical Skills, from the available groups (maximum 1 subject per group – see groups table)

Second year and Final year

  • 30 credits of Business (International) and continue with one of your other first year subjects as a Double Major, Major/Minor or as a Minor

Or

  • Transfer option in second year - into the MH404 BBS/BBA International Business degree for students who have successfully completed first year MH101, passing all modules in the 30 credit Business (International) subject. Alternatively you must pass all modules in the 15 credit Business (International) subject and pass Accounting and pass Economics/Finance in first year
  • Transfer option in second year - into the MH404 BBS/BBA Business and Global Cultures degree - for students who have successfully completed the first year of the Bachelor of Arts degree (MH101) taking either 15 or 30 credits of Anthropology and at least 15 credits of a Business subject
  • Transfer option in second year - into the MH407 BBS/BBA Business and Accounting degree for students who pass at least 15 credits of a Business subject and achieve a mark of at least 60% in the 30 credit Accounting subject in first year.
  • Transfer option in second year - into the MH502 BCL Law and Business degree - for students who pass 30 credits of a Business subject and pass 30 credits of Law
  • Transfer option in second year - into the MH409 BBA Business and Languages degree - for students who have successfully completed the first year of the BA degree (MH101) taking at least 15 credits of Business (International) and achieving at least 40% in 30 credits of beginners/15 credits of non-beginner language (in the relevant language)

  • Optional 10 credit Elective in second year
  • Erasmus/Study Abroad option after second year
