Overview
Finance opens doors to a wide range of careers, from investment banking and financial analysis to consultancy, entrepreneurship, and more. If you enjoy problem-solving and working with numbers, this degree will give you a thorough understanding of how financial systems operate, covering asset pricing, international market dynamics, and the impact of government policy on global markets, while also exploring areas shaping the future of the industry such as sustainability finance, machine learning, and data-driven financial analysis.
You will develop your skills using the same tools as industry professionals, including Bloomberg terminals and other leading data platforms. This hands-on experience with real market data builds the kind of practical analytical capability that employers actively look for in graduates.
In third year, you can choose between a work placement in the financial services industry, in Ireland or internationally (subject to availability), or a semester studying abroad at one of our partner universities. Ireland is home to one of Europe’s largest financial services sectors, and our graduates are well positioned to take advantage of opportunities both at home and across the globe.
